Cystic Acne Treatment Review
It can be difficult to get an effective cystic acne treatment that can be successfully used for both teenagers and adults. The types of acne cures and their prices range widely, which makes it rather troublesome to find the best remedy for acne that fits your budget and will do the job well.
According to recent studies, around 90 percent of teenagers experience acne breakouts. But adults also suffer from that disease, though the percentage is lower. The problem is worsened by the fact that there is no singe universal remedy for treatment for cystic acne; it is almost an individual approach because different people have different types of skin, and health state.
Cystic Acne Treatment - Methods And Remedies
Among different acne remedies some combinations of them can be found that proved to be very effective in preventing the onset of acne breakouts occurring as well.
The specific thing about cystic acne is that it is much more painful than the normal zits, and can be harmful in a sense of potential scarring. To get rid of acne cysts in no an easy job, but it doesn't mean that such cystic acne treatment does not exist.
A cyst is a severe form of acne; inside of it there are bacteria, dead skin and blood cells. Cysts can extend inside the skin and damage the skin tissue. Cysts and nodules form together when the nodulocystic acne takes place. Cysts invariably form scars thus their treatment is a challenging task. It must be started as soon as possible to prevent extensive skin cell damage.
Cystic acne appears as large irritated bumps. The Cysts are brought to life by hormonal imbalances and shifts, those results in overproducing bodily oil (sebum). So acne begins with plugged skin pores. It has some stages: from whiteheads and blackheads, to pimples or zits that are medically known as papules and pustules, then to nodules and cysts (which happens when the pimples get inflammated).
Before you start your cystic acne treatment, you need to know what to do and what to avoid.
First of all you should never try to force a deep cyst to the surface of your skin prematurely, since it can directly lead to acne scars appearance. to get some immediate effect you can use some strong acne creams with 2.5% benzyl peroxide. Anti-inflammatory treatments such as Neosporin can also help; just be patient and disciplined not to touch your skin any more in those affected areas.
There are different types of acne treatment. You can use natural acne remedies, or prescription medicines, you can use over the counter cystic acne treatment. Such antibiotics as tetracycline or benzoyl peroxide can directly kill the bacteria breeding in the skin. But these acne cures will not work straight away and probably you will have to take them for some period of time. The bad thing about any antibiotic is the side effects it has. Side effects can cause other ailments that must be addressed later as well.
For severe acne treatment Isotretinoin is used; it is a retinoid which is a form of vitamin A and treats all the 4 causes of acne formation: Excess oil, clogged pores, and Inflammation and cyst stage. The directions of use can be obtained at doctor's office or listed on the medicine's package box.
Yet Isotretinoin has side effects like damage to development of fetus. That is why women need to be consulted with a doctor, especially if they are pregnant. Other side effects of this medication are headaches, joint pains, depression, nausea and others.
Injecting corticosteroid is another mean to cure acne cysts, which reduces the acne substantially within a few days. It can prevent scarring since it dries the cyst totally, thus reducing the possibility of bursting of it.
Cystic acne has little to do with your hygiene, so don't rely so much on cleaners and creams. Your oil glands should be targeted instead to bring the hormonal shifts back to normal. Daily multivitamin intake will help you on that path, as well as other nutrients and food supplements. Zinc and Vitamin B5 are very important.
Approach a dermatologist if you feel that nothing helps. Also try some natural remedies for acne cysts. You may find them surprisingly effective and without harmful side effects.
What you can do yourself to fight acne and find a proper cystic acne treatment, it to make some changes to your lifestyle. Start with your diet - do some shifts towards a healthier food and drinks. Pimples do NOT like vitamins and nutrients like omega 3 and zinc, and those elements are found in natural and fresh foods like greens, vegetables, etc. exercise regularly, reduce your stress amounts by learning how to relax. Enjoy your life, practice a happier mood (yeah, that can be practiced), thus a lot of your sicknesses and ill conditions will go away.
Comments
I have severe cystic acne and it is very hard to deal with. I've seen two doctors and one of them said Androgen could help. I understand this is a very harsh, complicated drug with many side effects. I already use BenzaClin (5% benozyol peroxide and 1% Clindamycin) but it does not help whatsoever. Would Tetracycline work?

Nice information. Cystic acne can be very cruel to skin and a sterting point to combat it is by your diet as said. Having regular exercise helps alot and make sure that your wetsuit isn’t too tight under your arms or your helmet doesn’t slide around your forehead.
After exercise shower using medicated exfoliant cleanser.Change into dry clothes before you proceed with other chores. If this isn’t possible, change into dry clothes and wipe down as well as you can. Always use a clean towel and blot gently rather than wipe. Vigorous wiping can irritate your skin, driving make-up and sunscreen deeper into the pores.
